-

EXPLICATIONS

Que ce soit au présent simple ou au prétérit, il faut utiliser l'auxiliaire "DO" pour les questions et interrogations.

au présent simple ==>

DO devient "does" à la 3e personne du singulier.

Le verbe reste toujours dans sa Base Verbale

interrogation =>

do/does + sujet + Base Verbale + ?

négation ==>

sujet + do/does + not + Base Verbale (formes contractées = don't / doesn't)

-

au prétérit simple ==>

"DO" va prendre sa forme du prétérit = "DID"

interrogation =>

Did + sujet + Base Verbale + ?

négation  ==>

sujet  + did + not + Base Verbale (forme contractée = didn't)

-

Attention !!!

Be est déjà un auxiliaire. Donc on ne se sert pas de do/did

sujet + be + not

I'm not thirsty.

We aren't late.

You weren't happy.

He wasn't at home.

be + sujet + ?

Are they late ?

Is she outside ?

Were you there ?

Was he by himself ?

bonne fin de journée ☺☺☺
