Hi Kim !

Thanks for your letter, it’s so nice to see another way to work in a different country, I understand how hard it must be for you and all the students in Korea. But I’m sure that all your hard work is gonna pay, and that your gonna be accepted to your dream school.
The system in France is very different, we also have a very busy schedule, we have generally 1h of each subjects. A basic school schedule is 8am to 4.30pm and a ton of homework after school (1or2hour). The system is made in grades, there are 3 big steps : primary school ; middle school and high school. At the end of middle school we have an exam, it’s not that hard but it’s important to have it. While at the end of high school we also have one : le bac. This one is really really important, and it’s very hard. You generally need to have it to go to college. French students are very stressed, and they have a lot of anxiety especially in higher grades. It’s very competitive and everyone is pushing themselves especially during the exam. We have a lot of work and not so much time to rest. I hope it’s gonna be easier for you Korean students.
bye Kim !
