Hermann Gerlinger, who is now 90, began acquiring works by the Brücke artists in the 1950s and his collection is now one of the biggest in the world. The works include paintings, drawings, watercolors, woodcuts, lithographs and sculptures.
His recent activity is that he will now be selling his 1000 works through Munich-based auction house Ketterer Kunst instead of loaning his works to museums
