Rami works for DM Construction. He has good skills in construction but can be stubborn. While working on a new building, Rami’s supervisor, who was new to the job, made some suggestions on how to cut some pieces of wood so they would provide more support to the floor above. Rami had always cut the support beams in a certain way and thought his supervisor must not know much about construction. Rami complained to his co-workers but did not discuss the issue with his supervisor. When it came time to cutting the wood, Rami did it his usual way. The supervisor saw him doing this and yelled for him to do it the way that he was told. Being yelled at in front of his co-workers embarrassed Rami. He threw down his tools, yelled at his supervisor and stormed away from the construction site.

1) Rami’s supervisor who was new to the job suggested him another way to cut the wood. He neglected his advice and complained about him to his colleagues. Then, his supervisor saw him not taking his advice and being stubborn. He continued to cut the wood his way as usual. Rami got yelled at by his chef and he left angrily the construction site because he had been humiliated in front of his co workers.

2) The fact that his supervisor yelled at him in front of his colleagues led to that state of anger. He was humiliated by someone new who « didn’t know much about the job » according to Rami.

3) Rami could have taken the advices of his supervisor because his knowledge is superior than his. Also, he acted in a childish way because he was stubborn and didn’t accept any critics even if it was for a good reason.

4) I think he should lose his job because it is part of his job to respect his supervisors and any form of authority. The manner he acted wasn’t at all professional, he kept yelling to his chef and not caring if he had done a good job.

5) Rami should firstly apologize deeply and sincerely to his boss. After that, he should try his best and acknowledge the tips and advices made by his boss.
