Sagot :
Bonjour voici sa biographie:
Jean-Louis Étienne is the son of a tailor. At thirteen, he moved to Castres where his mother opened a small clothing business. In his youth he evolved as a scrum half at Castres Olympique [3].
After studying at the municipal school of Vielmur-sur-Agout, his parents put him at the technical college of Mazamet because he did not have sufficient marks to integrate the sixth grade. There he obtained a CAP as a turner-miller. Manual work gave him back his taste for studies, so much so that his teachers pushed him towards a technical baccalaureate obtained at the Lycée Jean-Jaurès de Castres. He then enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Toulouse where he became a doctor of medicine. A former surgical intern, he is doing his thesis at the Scientific and Medical University of Grenoble. He holds a specialized higher education diploma (DESS) in "dietetics and food engineering « and a diploma in "Biology and Sports Medicine ». Jean-Louis Étienne is also a licensed merchant navy doctor.
Jean-Louis Étienne quickly became interested in the medical aspect of human physiology in extreme conditions. As a doctor, he took part in numerous expeditions in the Himalayas (Broad Peak and the North face of Everest), in Greenland and in Patagonia, in particular in the Andes Cordillera. He is a teammate aboard Eric Tabarly's Pen Duick VI during his 1977-78 round-the-world race.
He was an astronaut candidate in 1983-84-85 for the CNES-2 group and was among the shortlisted.
From 2007 to 2008, Jean-Louis Étienne was Director General of the Paris Oceanographic Institute and of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.
During the summer of 2015, he hosted the program On remake the planet during the week from 7.15 p.m. to 8 p.m. on RTL.
