Agatha Mary Clarissa Miller was born in September 1890 in Tarquey, a town situated in the south west of England.
She was a well-known british crime writer of nobels, short stories and plays.
During her childhood, she didn't go to school. She studied at home with her mother. At the age of 16, she went to Paris to study the piano and singing.
In 1914, at the age of 24, she married Archibald Christie, an aviator.
They had one daughter, Rosalind Hicks. But unfortunately, they divorced in 1928. Her husband realized that he was in love with another woman.
Eventually she married archeologist Max Mallowan in 1930.
They were very happy until her death.
She wrote her first detective novel in 1920.
Alltogether she published 66 detective novels and 14 short stories.
She wrote romances under the name of Mary WestMacott.
