1. Margaret wanted to be painter , or even better as she says a fashion designer. Because she was fond of drawing sophisticated women and they're elbow-length gloves with cigarette holders. She was enchanted by the influence of art. She changed her mind because she had a few unsatisfactory encounters with oil paint, and some complex events with sewing machines.

2a. She said " But suddenly I morphed into a writer ".

b.Some similarities are that she was very Passionate about each of her dreams and that she just "morphs" into other careers.

She states that stories can have a good and bad side to them and that as a writer she is supposed to say how nessesary they are cause they help us understand one another and they build empathy.
