Bonjour, j'ai deux exos à faire en anglais et je n'y arrive pas. 

 

Exercice 1.

 

Is the missing verb in the simple preterite or the preterite be + v - ing? Find it and complete the sentences. 

 

appeared - told - was watching - were running - was sleeping - saw

 

a. Count Manfredi kidnapped Emily while Valancourt...

b. Sister Agnes... while Emily was crying in her room.

c. While they... down the stairs, they saw a rat.
