In 1607, 104 Englishmen landed at Cape Henry, Virginia, and founded
the town of Jamestown In September 1620, around 100 pilgrims
set sail from England for the New World.

of religious freedom. They salled on a ship, the Mayflower-
on a pilgrimage to the New World.
